Eagle Creek Park
For the fourth consecutive year, Eagle Creek Park Foundation’s Iron Eagle Paddle & Run fundraiser will take place Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Eagle Creek Park’s Beach! This adventure race is motivated by the Foundation’s desire to raise funds in order to support the future of Eagle Creek Park (100% of proceeds benefit the Foundation!). The race is open to all ages. Solo and 2-person teams are all welcome!
Please join us for a tour of one of the nation’s largest city parks while catching a glimpse of the park’s wonderful scenery. Competitors have the option to bring their own kayak or canoe, or rent a boat in advance (by July 22) through Eagle Creek Outfitters. All participants bringing their own water craft are required to bring a PFD (personal flotation device), otherwise known as a life jacket.
Trail Run – 2.5 mi
Paddle – 1.5 mi
Trail Run – 3.5 mi
The course is set up similar to a triathlon with a transition area where you can stage your gear for each leg, and there is also an area set up for spectators.
Get $15 off race entry when you become a member of the Foundation (which is tax-deductible!). Valid for new members only. Once a member, email Sam at email@example.com to retrieve your race registration code.
***Dogs are not allowed this year. We love them, but the trails are not wide enough.
